Shift Differential Pay

In addition to their base pay, Longview Police Officers assigned to the Midnight shift receive an additional $50.00 per month and officers assigned to the Evening shift receive an addtional $75.00 per month.

Incentive Pay

In addition to their base pay, Longview Police Officers may receive additional pay based upon their college degree, certification level, and/or special skills. Academic degrees must be awarded by an accredited institution.

ILEA (Institute forĀ  Law Enforcement Administration) $300 Annually

Additional certification pay is granted for attending the FBI National Academy or The Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT) in the amount of $300 annually.

Specialty Pay

Specialty Pay is awarded to individuals who participate in the following special assignments. An officer may participate in multiple specialty assignments, but receive pay for only one specialty at any given time. When an officer holds multiple specialties that include being an FTO, the officer will be paid at the higher FTO rate.

Cleaning Allowance

All commissioned personnel shall receive $600 annually in cleaning allowance.
