The Longview Police Department, in
conjunction with the Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association, will be
hosting the 2008 annual Citizen Police Academy. Classes will be conducted
at the Longview Police Department on Tuesday and Thursday nights and last
approximately two hours.
Classes will begin at 6:30 PM, Thursday, September 11, 2008 and will conclude on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Applications can be obtained at the police department by contacting the Longview Police Department Records Division, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM or by calling 903.237.1108. You may also download an application by clicking on the link below. The application can be filled out on any computer running Adobe® Acrobat® Reader™. Once filled out, print the application and return it to the address listed on the application. The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, September 5, 2008.
The Citizen Police Academy is cost-free to the student. We will provide you with notebooks and any other supplies needed for the course. We realize that your schedule may not permit you to attend each class. Please do not let your schedule deter you from attending. Apply soon, class size is limited.
